Nigerian dance music trio Naija House Mafia have officially released their highly anticipated new EP Mafia Busine$$, a bold and energetic body of work pushing the boundaries of Afro-house, Gqom, 3-Step, and contemporary African electronic music.
Distributed by Café Riddim, WeTalkSound’s electronic music sub-label, the five-track project showcases the trio’s ability to merge Nigerian musical heritage with forward-thinking electronic production designed for both underground raves and global dancefloors.
Made up of Jamie Black, Sigag Lauren, and Calix, Naija House Mafia have become one of the leading forces within Nigeria’s growing electronic music movement. Known for their headline event House Arrest and records like “Fokasibe,” the trio continue to champion a distinctly African approach to dance music while building a sound capable of resonating worldwide.

Across Mafia Busine$$, the trio reimagine familiar Nigerian influences through electronic music, from house-driven flips of classics by P-Square and Chuddy K to percussion-heavy records inspired by local culture, Fulani folk music, Afro-house, 3-Step, and Gqom. Each track brings a different energy to the project while remaining rooted in rhythm, movement, and African identity.
With Mafia Busine$$, Naija House Mafia continue to position themselves at the forefront of Nigeria’s evolving electronic music scene. As African electronic music gains wider global attention, projects like this signal a future where producers and DJs across the continent experiment even more boldly with indigenous sounds, regional rhythms, and traditional influences within contemporary dance music.
