Loti Returns With New Single “Talk & Do”

The Nigerian Afro-Fusion artist delivers his first solo release of 2026, following 2025’s Gorimapa Gangsta Vol. 2: Lotstar EP

Nigerian Afro-R&B artist Loti has released his new single “Talk & Do” on August 7, 2026, via Elite Collective. The track marks his first solo output of the year, arriving after the 2025 release of his Gorimapa Gangsta Vol. 2: Lotstar EP.

Born Emelie Dan-Nwabueze in Lagos, Loti has built a reputation as one of Nigeria’s more genre-fluid voices, blending Afrobeats with R&B and leaning into candid, story-driven songwriting. Over the years, he has collaborated with artists including BNXN, Taves, MOLIY, Toyé, Psycho YP, Tim Lyre, and Trill Xoe. He broke through with the Gorimapa Gangsta EP and its standout single “Mainland,” whose visuals crossed 50,000 YouTube views, earned airplay across West and East Africa, and sparked the #MainlandChallenge, which generated more than 2 million social media interactions. He followed that with Honeymoon Phase, before returning to the Gorimapa Gangsta universe with Lotstar. The EP which has done over 700,000 streams on Spotify alone chronicles his path back to creative and commercial footing, featuring rising acts Taves and Kokoe.

“Talk & Do” continues that trajectory, landing as Loti’s next chapter after a project defined by setback and reinvention. Inspired by a complicated relationship with a secret lover, “Talk & Do” captures Loti wrestling with the tension between wanting to claim a love openly and the weight of a past that keeps it hidden. He lays his vocals over a firm instrumental that blends Afrobeats and R&B, giving the confession room to breathe without losing its edge.

Imagine falling in love with someone but you guys can’t come out with it,Loti says. “As much as I’d have loved to walk through the front door with her, I had been involved with her best friend six years before.”
