Fast-rising Nigerian gospel artist Lessie has officially released her new single, “Take It Away,” now available on all streaming platforms worldwide.
The single marks her first official release under SWITCH Records, signaling the beginning of a new chapter in her music journey as she continues to create faith-based music rooted in honesty, healing, and real-life experiences.
Currently a final-year student at the University of Lagos, Lessie represents a new generation of gospel artists using vulnerability and relatable storytelling to connect with young audiences navigating pressure, identity, emotional struggles, and spiritual growth.
“Take It Away” is a heartfelt surrender anthem inspired by personal moments of fear, doubt, shame, and emotional weight. Through sincere lyrics and soulful delivery, the song captures the powerful act of laying every burden before God.
Speaking about the release, Lessie says:
