Black Sherif returns with new single “Find A Way”

Black Sherif —one of Africa’s most prolific young artists— returns with “Find A Way,” a powerful new single produced by longtime collaborator Joker, out now via EMPIRE/RBA. The track arrives as Sherif continues moving through PUMA’s larger World Cup campaign, following his performance at the brand’s New York launch for Ghana’s 2026 World Cup kit and his appearance at PUMA and Salehe Bembury’s immersive TRVL WEAR experience in Los Angeles last week. Channeling perseverance and hope through Sherif’s signature style of deeply personal storytelling, “Find A Way” embodies the emotional force that has made him one of the defining voices of a new African generation.

“Find A Way” follows the recent release of “SWAGGA,” a bold return to Black Sherif’s hip-hop roots that arrived in the wake of his historic night at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards. Together, the records continue building the next phase of his PopStar era ahead of his forthcoming headlining tour, including his biggest New York City headline show to date at Hammerstein Ballroom on August 1st.

This summer, Sherif will continue expanding his presence across music, fashion, and football culture as Ghana enters the FIFA World Cup spotlight. He will spend much of June through August in the United States around Ghana’s tournament journey, placing him at the center of a larger cultural moment connecting music, national pride, and the emotional force of football.

Together, the releases mark the latest chapter in Black Sherif’s evolution following the success of his critically acclaimed 2025 sophomore album, IRON BOY, which has now surpassed 1 billion streams globally. Where IRON BOY explored resilience, self-preservation, and the emotional consequences of explosive fame, this chapter represents a more ambitious and outward-facing evolution for Sherif, one shaped by confidence, growth, and the realities of becoming a global figure while remaining emotionally grounded. Earlier this year, Sherif set the tone with his single, “PopStar,” a self-assured declaration of arrival that frames stardom through endurance, faith, and the self-made journey that brought him from the mud to international acclaim.

At just 24 years old, Black Sherif has ascended from the small town of Konongo in Ghana’s Ashanti Region to become one of the most impactful African artists of his generation. Since breaking through internationally, he has carved out a singular lane by blending elements of Highlife, Afrobeats, hip-hop, and Asakaa into raw, emotionally direct records that resonate deeply across Africa and the diaspora. His debut album, The Villain I Never Was, has now surpassed 3 billion streams globally, while IRON BOY debuted at #10 on Billboard’s World Albums chart. With The Villain I Never Was previously reaching #12 on the same chart, Sherif became the first Ghanaian artist to chart both a debut and sophomore album on Billboard’s World Albums chart. IRON BOY also became the fastest Ghanaian album to surpass 40 million Spotify streams, reaching the milestone within its first 40 days.

Sherif’s rise has earned recognition from Rolling Stone, NPR, Complex, Billboard, and The New York Times, while his international honors include Best International Flow at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards and a 2025 BET Awards nomination for Best International Act. His breakout anthem “Kwaku The Traveller” reached #1 on the Global Shazam chart upon release, while his consecutive releases helped establish him as Ghana’s most streamed artist ever. Across his catalog, he has collaborated with artists including Burna Boy, Fireboy DML, Popcaan, Stormzy, and ODUMODUBLVCK, reflecting the global reach of his sound and storytelling.

Beyond music, Black Sherif has increasingly become a larger cultural figure through his growing influence across fashion, sports culture, and conversations surrounding African identity. In 2024, he walked for Labrum London at London Fashion Week before making his Paris Fashion Week debut with Off-White. He was also dressed by Christian Louboutin for the brand’s event with GQ during BRIT Awards week. His fashion presence continues to feel grounded in Ghanaian identity while expanding across luxury, sportswear, and youth culture.
