In a music industry often dominated by overnight sensations, rising artist ZeD1st is charting a different course, one built on resilience, struggle, and unflinching honesty. His new EP, “HERE TO STAY,” is poised to introduce audiences not just to his sound, but to the story of survival that shaped it.
Far from a typical debut, “HERE TO STAY” is a deeply personal body of work that ZeD1st describes as “my blood, my sweat, and my tears pressed into a tracklist.”
The project, which chronicles his battles with identity and personal setbacks, was born out of a transformative period in South Africa, where the artist confronted his darkest moments and discovered his true voice.
“This EP is the story of hitting rock bottom and realizing the only way out was to dig deep and build a foundation. The title isn’t a boast; it’s a promise I made to myself”, ZeD1st explained.
Each track is said to reflect his journey from despair to determination, weaving pain into powerful anthems of perseverance. For ZeD1st, the process was not just creative but cathartic, offering him a way to reclaim his struggles and turn them into something that could inspire others.
“I went to South Africa lost, searching for something I couldn’t even name. I found it in the silence, in the struggle, and in the music. This project is my unfiltered truth”, he said.
Beyond making a musical statement, ZeD1st sees the project as a declaration of his enduring presence in the industry.“With HERE TO STAY, I’m not just releasing music, I’m making it clear that after everything, I am here to stay,” he said.
