“Godfidence” as the name suggests is a breakout from a victimized state of mind and depression in the composer’s life to a space of understanding, acceptance and confidence. Natty Miller who was a victim of gang violence as a result of an ambush attack on his life in 2018, in his home city Port Harcourt, Nigeria had just released a controversial Ep that garnered him attention in southern Nigeria. A few months later, he was ambushed and almost killed as he believes he was set up, but barely escaped and survived leading to weeks of medical diagnosis and surgical procedures to save his life. In the recovery process, Natty Miller lost what he claimed to be his mojo and decided to relocate to his second residence in Accra, Ghana where he settled with his extended family during his leave in search of inspiration and rejuvenation.

“Godfidence” is an Afro-inspired album with bits of pop and a little touch of dancehall rhythm that would allow for an authentic listening experience between the listeners and the songs. The album is single-handedly written and directed by Natty Miller, who is already accustomed to composing and releasing long body of works and extended playlists since 2011 until date. With a total of five unofficial Ep’s, he has decided to go solo on his debut album “Godfidence” as he expresses his desire to challenge himself to be a better musician and artistic persona, which he claims to be a boost to his confidence and an escape from his self limiting PTSD’s.
Whilst most of the songs on the album were recorded and produced in the beautiful city of Accra, Ghana, a number of hits were also relatively recorded and produced in Lagos, Nigeria.
