I’ve Been Recording, Building, and Reflecting – ZIRO KINGIN

Sodiq Badmus Ishola, ZIRO KINGIN is not your average rapper he’s a street-bred storyteller with a lyrical instinct and an uncompromising sense of integrity. Born in the late 1990s and raised in the musically rich neighbourhood of Surulere, Lagos, ZIRO KINGIN found his voice in the corridors of
adolescence, kicking off his music journey as early as SS1.

His first major break came at just 14 with the release of a viral mixtape titled “Hustle” (2014),
earning him buzz on the streets and setting him apart as one to watch. He followed that with the
2019 street anthem “From The Lungu” featuring the late Dablixx OSHA a raw and unfiltered
banger that racked up over 1.5 million streams across platforms. In 2020, he curated his journey in another mixtape, “So Far So Good” which included features from rising stars like Seyi Vibez and Bobzee. Though the track was later taken down in 2024 due to industry politics, it further cemented ZIRO KINGIN’s rep as a respected underground voice.

But he is back to assure his fans that, “The music never left me. I’ve been recording, building, and reflecting. A new project is coming, which is raw, reflective, and street-approved. No release date yet, but when it drops, they’ll know ZIRO KINGIN is back for real.”

With unreleased collaborations with names like Demmie Vee, Hotkid, and Lyta, ZIRO KINGIN is
defining himself as more than just a rapper but a documentarian of hustle, pain, and survival and his return may just be the renaissance the streets have been waiting for.
