Harmony “H-Money” Samuels is not a new name in the African music industry. His strong cultural background has greatly influenced his sound, which has seen him collaborate with Afrobeats stars such as Tiwa Savage, scoring production credits on “Kele Kele Love” and “Love Me x3” off her 2013 album Once Upon a Time. His involvement with Afrobeats doesn’t just end with Tiwa Savage, as he has also collaborated with Seyi Shay, earning production credits on her debut album Seyi or Shay, and songwriting credits on Rotimi’s 2019 hit record “In My Bed” featuring Wale.
Originally from London but now based in Los Angeles, Harmony Samuels is more than just a songwriter and producer—he’s a bridge. Self-taught in music since childhood, Harmony lives up to his name by using music to connect people across the globe. His work on tracks like Janet Jackson’s “Made for Now” and Michelle Williams’ “Say Yes” sends a clear message of hope, power, and love, blending styles from various cultures seamlessly. Driven by a spiritual calling, Harmony founded Studio Studies in 2019 following the tragic death of Nipsey Hussle. This initiative brings together creatives from diverse backgrounds for monthly discussions aimed at fostering wisdom and success in the entertainment industry.
Despite his status as a thought leader who has received accolades from taste makers like Rolling Stone, Billboard, The Washington Post, Variety and many more, Harmony remains committed to giving back through his company BOE Global and record label BOE Records. While he’s collaborated with big names like Ariana Grande and Chris Brown, he also champions emerging artists, believing in the value of building up talent rather than simply buying it. His influence extends to the film industry, where he has scored music for various movies and television shows, including Hotel Transylvania 2 and 3, The Best Man Holiday, Think Like A Man 1 and 2, and the series Empire. Across music and film, Harmony remains dedicated to his mission of making a positive impact on the world.
