DUÜWA has released his new single “Misguided,” the follow-up to “Freaknik” and the second look into his upcoming EP Playing With Fire, arriving November 21.
“Misguided” continues to shape the world DUÜWA is building as an emerging voice in the Nigerian alt-pop space. The song is built around the feeling of wanting someone but not always knowing how to say it, capturing the hesitation, excitement, and small misunderstandings that come with young love. It’s a warm, melodic record that adds a new layer to the world he’s shaping ahead of the EP.
Before launching his solo career, DUÜWA spent years performing with the LOUD Choir, a period that helped shape his sense of sound, performance and storytelling. His current work pulls from that foundation but lives in a more experimental space, blending pop, alt, and mood-driven production.
With “Misguided,” he continues to refine his identity ahead of the Playing With Fire EP, a project that documents where he is creatively and personally. The EP will introduce a fuller picture of DUÜWA’s direction as he steps into his own lane and builds momentum within Lagos’ fast-growing music scene.
“Misguided” is available now on all streaming platforms.
