Apex Village’s Uloko Releases Debut EP, “Problem Child”

After the successful release of two lead singles, “Nsogbu” and “Amina,” which garnered acclaim and solidified his position among the emerging stars of 2024, Uloko has now released his first ever EP, “Problem Child”.

Featuring a record with heavyweight rapper and label boss, PsychoYP, Uloko worked with a team of renowned producers including Thrill Max, Ramoni, Ufedo, Dera, and Jiggy YB. “Problem Child” is a 5-track EP that promises to take listeners on a diverse musical journey, fusing various genres, from afro-fusion to EDM, creating a unique and captivating listening experience. Each track on the EP reflects the spirit of Uloko’s generation, blending his fresh innovative style with infectious melodies and powerful lyrics.

Uloko - Problem Child

The focus track “Mad O” serves as the lead track to Uloko’s EP and this song speaks about the artist’s individuality and originality. Uloko sings “I’ve been on my own” … “ I don go many places where dem talk say I never see” a testament to his wealth of experience in life and music. This triple-produced record is catchy and upbeat with laid-back chords fused with Amapiano and house music to let listeners chill while soaking the introspection of the song. 

On the PsychoYP-assisted ‘Quilox’, Uloko expresses his nonchalance with subtle lyricism and an undeniable flow set to keep his listeners grooving and dancing; the Princeton-produced record is heavily infused with Amapiano rhythms which serve as the backdrop for cohesion on this tape.
