Dai Verse’s first release of 2022 is “Sweet Daddy” – an upbeat infectious Afro Pop song fused with an array of melodies featuring a guest verse from Buju. Dai Verse has been described with many adjectives; mysterious, enigmatic, alluring, cryptic, and even shy. But one thing you can agree on is his ability to weave different melodies into an enticement of sounds that makes for a joyous and captivating listening experience.
This can be seen in “Cocaine” and “Colorado” – both viral hits from last year. With “Sweet Daddy,” it gets even better. The song continues to show the vulnerabilities and intricacies that come with love – a common theme with all of Dai Verse’s releases – and gets a great assist from one of the most in-form artists, Buju, who delivers his first guest verse of the year in flying colors.
